Member Question of the Month
“I’ve been getting asked about NSF/ANSI 61 certification on water tank projects. Is that a PolyOrgs certification or a separate process?”
Great question. NSF/ANSI 61 is a product-level certification — it certifies specific polyurea formulations for contact with drinking water, not individual applicators. Your role as an applicator is to use an NSF 61-listed product and follow the manufacturer’s application protocol precisely. Our Potable Water Specialty Endorsement covers these requirements in depth, including how to verify product listing status and document your application for municipal clients.
Industry News Brief
The federal Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) program is releasing $3.2B in new project financing this fiscal year, a significant portion of which will fund potable water storage and distribution infrastructure — the sweet spot for certified polyurea applicators. Members with the Potable Water endorsement are well-positioned. Contact us if you’d like help positioning your services for these opportunities.
That’s the June 2026 roundup. If you have news to share, a member spotlight to nominate, or a technical question for next month’s newsletter, send it our way. See you in July.
