Who We Are

PolyOrgs is the leading professional association for polyurea and protective coatings applicators in North America. Founded to fill a critical gap in the industry — the absence of a dedicated credentialing and community infrastructure for polyurea professionals — we have grown to serve 647 active certified members across 12 regional chapters in the United States, Canada, and internationally.

Our members range from independent owner-operators running single-truck businesses to commercial applicator companies with multi-state footprints. What unites them is a commitment to technical excellence and professional standards in a craft that demands both.

Our Mission

PolyOrgs exists to elevate the professional standard of polyurea and protective coatings application through:

Rigorous, practitioner-developed certification programs that reflect real-world application demands
A chapter system that creates genuine professional community and peer learning opportunities
An applicator directory that connects qualified professionals with commercial clients who need them
Technical resources that keep members current with evolving materials, equipment, and standards

Our History

PolyOrgs was founded in 2015 by a group of experienced applicators who recognized a shared frustration: the polyurea industry had excellent technical organizations focused on materials science and manufacturing, but nothing equivalent serving the applicator workforce. Credentials were inconsistent, quality varied wildly, and commercial clients had no reliable way to identify qualified professionals.

The founding chapter launched in 2015 with 18 members. By 2018, three regional chapters were active. By 2022, seven. Today, with 12 active chapters and more in formation, PolyOrgs is the primary credentialing and professional development organization for polyurea applicators in North America.

Our Certification Program

The PolyOrgs certification program is built by applicators for applicators. Unlike manufacturer-specific training programs (which serve important but different purposes), PolyOrgs certification is system-agnostic and focuses on the fundamental principles, quality practices, and safety standards that apply regardless of which manufacturer’s product is on the rig.

Our three-level certification framework — Certified Polyurea Applicator, Advanced Certified Applicator, and Master Applicator — plus seven specialty endorsements, gives members a clear professional development pathway and gives commercial clients a reliable credentialing framework for vendor qualification.

Leadership

PolyOrgs is governed by a Board of Directors composed of active certified members elected by the membership. Day-to-day operations are managed by a professional staff team with backgrounds in trade association management, technical education, and the protective coatings industry.
